Panel Discussion: Collecting African American Art

On February 23, 2022, the East Midtown Partnership and Art on the Ave hosted a panel discussion on "Collecting African American Art" as part of our public art exhibition, "Intersections," and in recognition of Black History Month. Joining us were Peg Alston, a private art dealer who is considered one of the country's foremost specialists on art by African Americans and artists of African descent, and Dr. Halima Taha, an author, scholar, curator, and art advisor who is recognized throughout the United States as a leading authority on collecting African American art and arts management.
